Prevent-iON^® is a modular sensor platform designed to protect lithium-ion battery systems. Unlike single purpose detectors, it combines prevention, off-gas and thermal runaway gas detection within one architecture.

Abuse prevention

Most battery incidents originate outside the cells. Stage 1 sensors catch external hazards such as water leaks, overheating or environmental anomalies before they become electrical fires.

Off-gas detection

Flammable gas detection

The award winning R-GAS-FLAMMABLE detects off-gas and the hydrogen containing flammable gases of thermal runaway, 0 to 100% LEL. Calibration free and standalone: relays and Modbus are built in.

One base unit to network all three stages

The P-BASE-8 runs a Class A loop of up to 40 Gen 4 sensors and takes the Stage 1 sensors on its four probes. The R-GAS-FLAMMABLE works standalone and joins the P-BASE-8 when you want it on the network. Every reading, alarm and relay state goes out over Modbus TCP, SNMP, MQTT and BACnet IP.
